The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe(RBZ) has declared that the United States Dollar can now be used to pay for goods and services in local transactions. This is part of the central bank’s measures to deal with the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

We has also learned that the RBZ has suspended the recently introduced managed floating exchange rate and adopted a fixed exchange rate of ZWL$25 to USD1 until the markets stabilise from the effects of Covid-19.  However, the governor said that the measure will be reviewed when things get to normal.
